Dittany of Crete is the legendary spirit-conjuring herb — its smoke said to give spirits a veil through which to appear.
A herb of Venus and the element of Water, dittany's powers are manifestation and astral projection. Burned on charcoal (often with vanilla or benzoin), the thick smoke is the classic medium for spirit manifestation and scrying; its scent also aids the spirit in leaving the body for travel.
Pairs well with: Mugwort, Wormwood, Frankincense, and Amethyst.
Care: keep dry and sealed; burn on a charcoal disc in a heatproof dish.
