Deep Earth Echoes: Goetia Immersion

An advanced Goetia immersion

Deep Earth Echoes

The Goetia Immersion: a practice you keep for years, not a class you finish

Goetia is a centuries-old tradition of magic for calling up named spirits and working with them directly. This is not reading about it. You do it, and you feel it in your body and your nerves. Before you begin, you build the skill to stay steady when strong feelings come up. Then we go in together.

Run by Societas Tempestatis Nigrae, a working group. Sponsored by The Way of the Keys.

Becoming a Tin Sponsor is how you get in the door, from home or in the room. From there, the steps to the immersion open up. You can cancel any time.

What Deep Earth Echoes Is

A guided, ongoing Goetia practice. The circle works through all 72 spirits of the Goetia over about three years, one every two weeks, and you join the group where it is now. It is for people who want to do this themselves, feel it firsthand, and are ready to practice daily and keep an honest journal, with support.

Advanced by design

This is not a beginner class. The practice can stir up strong emotions and put real pressure on your mind. If you are well-practiced, an interview is enough to enter, as long as you meet our criteria. If you are new, you build a six-month foundation first: six months of Hands-On Chaos Magic with a daily journal. Online, you can join any time, though the six months is highly recommended.

Not for beginners

Structure that holds you

The requirements are here to keep you steady, not to keep you out. You work alongside others, with check-in and cooldown discussions after each rite, so you never face the hard parts alone.

A safety net

Distance or in-person

Join from anywhere, or be in the room with us. Either way works. Being in the room hits harder, so in-person asks more of you before you start.

Two ways in

One spirit at a time

The circle works through all 72 spirits of the Goetia, one every two weeks, on the first and third Saturday. Each session walks through the spirit's correspondences (its traditional associations), offerings, enn (its chant), and description, then a group ritual, your own individual ritual, a group banishing, and a reflection and check-in cooldown discussion. Right now we are on the spirit the circle has currently reached, finishing this set with Andromalius (No. 72) in May 2027. You join where the circle is.

First & third Saturday

This is advanced practice, and it can challenge you. So before you meet the spirits, you build the foundational skills first: banishing, meditation, centering, steady awareness of your own thoughts and feelings, and the ability to hold your focus for a long stretch. These are what let you watch yourself meet them, notice the fear or excitement that comes up, and hold steady instead of being thrown.

That one idea sits behind every requirement below. None of it is for show. It is the difference between a practice you can take in and grow from, and one that shakes you up and leaves you there.

The Path In

Already well-practiced? An interview may be all you need to enter and become a member, as long as you meet our criteria. New to this? You build the six-month foundation first. Online, you can start any time, with the six months highly recommended, plus a workshop on how to make the most of online rituals. Not sure you qualify? Email queencitycurio@gmail.com with how long you have practiced and how much you practice each day.

1How you get in

Already well-practiced? An interview is all you need to enter and become a member, as long as you meet our criteria. New to this? You build the six-month foundation first: six months of Hands-On Chaos Magic (read pages 1-203 and 271-286), writing one journal entry every day about the exercises you did and what you learned, with a before-and-after reflection rated 1 to 5. Online, you can start any time, though the six months is highly recommended.

The entry gate

2Interview & daily journal

We check your practice two ways: a face-to-face interview, and the journal you write in every day. The journal shows what you actually did and lets you see yourself clearly; the interview keeps it honest. If we need to do a formal read-through of your journal, that review costs CAD $50 + tax.

Verified, not assumed

3Room for being human

Life happens. Real exceptions like illness or an emergency are expected and completely fine. Just note them honestly in your journal. We want honest, steady practice, not a flawless streak.

Honest leeway

4The grounding skills

A few basic skills keep you steady: banishing, meditation, centering, and holding your focus for a sustained time, since a ritual usually runs about an hour. Banishing clears the space and settles you before and after you work; centering and meditation steady your own mind. If you join in person, you must be able to do these. The room hits harder, and we have seen people without these skills struggle to handle it. From home they are not required, but we strongly recommend them. Online is gentler, though the work is still real.

Your grounding

What You'll Need

  • Tin Sponsorship · CAD $40/monthYour membership to attend, distance or in-person.
  • Signed waiverCompleted online or in person before you begin. Straightforward, required.
  • A daily journalOne entry a day on the exercises you did and what you learned, with a before-and-after reflection rated 1 to 5. We read it at the interview.
  • Black robes, strongly encouragedNot mandatory, but they set the space and the mind. We recommend them.
  • Grounding skillsBanishing, meditation, centering, and holding focus for about an hour (a ritual's length). Required in person, strongly recommended at a distance.
  • A willingness to watch yourself honestlyBeing honest in your journal and your interview is the real requirement.
  • Taking full responsibility for yourselfOnline and in person, this is your practice and you are fully responsible for yourself: your choices, your wellbeing, and how you handle everything that comes up, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Distance or In-Person

In-Person

  • Strongest experience. It hits harder when you are in the room.
  • Getting in depends on experience: new practitioners do an interview plus the six-month foundation (six months of Hands-On Chaos Magic with a daily journal); well-practiced ones may enter on the interview alone, if they meet our criteria.
  • Only 10 spots in the room, so places are limited and fill up.
  • Required Banishing, meditation, centering, and sustained focus. Without them, people find the in-person work hard to handle.
  • Black robes strongly encouraged. Sign the waiver online or in person.

Distance

  • Join from anywhere by Zoom. We send you the link before each session. It is still the real practice; online is just gentler.
  • No limit on numbers online.
  • You can join any time. The six-month foundation is not required online, but highly recommended.
  • You get a workshop on how to make the most of online rituals.
  • Camera on is expected, and you take part in the after-rite check-in and cooldown discussions.
  • Recommended Banishing, meditation, centering, and focus. Not required from home, but strongly advised. Sign the waiver online.

What This Costs

  • Tin Sponsorship: CAD $40/month. Recurring, for as long as you attend. It covers the two group sessions each month, on the first and third Saturday, plus access to our other classes (online and in-person options differ). You can cancel any time; when your sponsorship ends, your place in the immersion ends too.
  • In-person places are limited to 10. Online has no cap.
  • Optional signed & blessed book: CAD $60 + tax. A one-time purchase, not required.
  • Journal review: CAD $50 + tax. One time, and only if we need a formal read-through of your journal.
  • A signed waiver is required to join, online or in person.
  • You must be 18 or older to take part.
  • Cancelling and refunds. We do not give refunds; all payments are final. You can cancel any time by email or through your Stripe receipt, which stops your next charge.

This work can be emotionally and mentally demanding, and the preparation exists to look after you. It is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. If you are in active treatment or going through a crisis, please talk to your provider first.

Good to Know

What is Goetia?

A tradition of magic for calling up named spirits and working with them directly. The word is ancient Greek (goeteia, meaning sorcery). The classic list of 72 spirits comes from the Ars Goetia in The Lesser Key of Solomon, a grimoire compiled in the mid-1600s from older material.

Do I need experience?

If you are well-practiced, an interview may be all you need to enter, as long as you meet our criteria. If you are new, you build a six-month foundation: six months of Hands-On Chaos Magic (pages 1-203 and 271-286) with a daily journal. Online, you can join any time, with the six months highly recommended, plus an online-rituals workshop.

Not sure if you qualify?

Email queencitycurio@gmail.com and tell us how long you have practiced and how much you practice each day. We will let you know if you are ready to start or what to do first.

When do sessions happen?

Every two weeks, on the first and third Saturday of the month. The circle works through all 72 spirits, one at a time. We are currently on the spirit the circle has currently reached and finish this set with Andromalius (No. 72) in May 2027.

When can I join?

Online, any time. In person, once you meet our entry criteria: an interview if you are well-practiced, or the six-month foundation if you are new. There are only 10 in-person spots. We take people as they apply and interview, so there is no fixed start date. The circle is ongoing, so you join at the spirit it has currently reached.

Can I do this from home?

Yes. You can join any time, and you get a workshop on how to make the most of online rituals. Distance attendees join by Zoom, and we send the link before each session. Camera on is expected, and you take part in the after-rite check-in and cooldown discussions.

What does "banishing" mean?

A short ritual to clear the space and settle yourself before and after the work. In-person attendees must have this and basic meditation; we strongly recommend both for distance too.

Is it safe?

It can be intense, given the nature of these spirits. The requirements exist so you can stay steady and handle what comes up, with support. It is not a substitute for medical or mental-health care.

Are places limited?

In person, yes. The room is capped at 10 people, so places are limited. Online has no limit.

Can I cancel?

Yes, any time. To cancel, email queencitycurio@gmail.com or manage it through your Stripe receipt. Cancelling stops your next monthly charge. We do not give refunds; all payments are final. When your sponsorship ends, your place in the immersion ends.
